Pedal & Paddle: Entering Grades 8-10 

July 12-16

Would you like to try an exciting, outdoor adventure? Do you like biking, canoeing, camping and more? Then this off-site program is just for you!

You’ll bike the scenic Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail, canoe the breathtakingly, beautiful Kickapoo River — and adventure by camping along the way! Your travel adventures will include fun camp activities such as, games, campfires, Bible Study, group bonding, and more! Come with your youth group, friends, or alone – either way you’ll make lots of new friends along the way on this epic camp adventure…

This program is also great for Confirmation groups who want to bond in a new way! If the weeks offered on the schedule don’t work for your Confirmation group, call camp. We can work together to find another week that works.

Sugar Creek provides your equipment and staff. Campers should bring their own helmet and if possible bring a bike in good working order. **Campers entering this program should be able to bike at least 5 miles a day at a steady pace.**

Elevated: Entering Grades 9-12

August 2-6

Strap up your boots and hammocks for this epic camp adventure! Campers will journey to special campsites each day stopping for devotions, Bible studies, and worships along the way. Aside from all the new places campers will discover, returners will find some familiar locations as well including the pool, challenge course, and art barn!

Campers will sleep at multiple campsites, in their hammocks, throughout the week! There will be rooms in one of our lodges reserved for them in case of bad weather.

*If campers do not have hammocks, we do have custom Sugar Creek hammocks available for purchase in our clothing canteen on Sunday during registration.

Riverboaters:  Entering Grades 9-12

July 12-16, July 19-23, July 26-30, August 2-6

Join friends new and old on a memory-making journey down the Mississippi River!

You can explore the dunes, swim, slide, boat, laugh, and play in the beauty of God’s amazing creation! Enjoy campfires and Bible study on the sandbars as well as intentional community-building activities.

Each boat group consists of up to 10 campers and 2 counselors, one of whom is a lifeguard. This is a fantastic experience for high school youth!

Cost: $480 or Tier 1 (your choice)

 


Junior Wranglers: Entering Grades 9-12

July 12-16, July 19-23, & August 2-6

Saddle up for a week of hands-on experience with the camp wranglers and team driver! Help with the horse program at Sugar Creek, assist on trail rides, and learn about tack care, horsemanship, safety concerns, and general horse care.

A maximum of four people per session ensures that you will get a lot of time in the saddle as well as working directly with and around all the horses at camp.

Voyageurs: 9-12  

Program Cancelled Summer 2020

Follow the route of great explorers, fur traders, and Native Americans as you paddle down the mighty Mississippi in one of our 26ft. Voyageur canoes! On the journey you will camp along the river, cook your food over open fire, enjoy exciting campfires, Bible studies, and intentional community-building activities.

Well-trained counselors will guide you on your voyage.

Our voyageur canoes and trained staff are also available for your own church or youth group outings during weeks the Voyageur summer camp program isn’t offered.

Staff in Training – Leaders in Training: Entering Grades 11-12

July 12-23, July 26-Aug 6 (Sit-Lits go home on the weekends)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work at Sugar Creek? This three-week program is focused on equipping disciples for leadership in their home communities and beyond!

SIT-LITs will spend their first week at camp learning the basics of being a Sugar Creek staff member, which includes: leading team building activities, worship leading and planning, small group leadership, and much more!

In their second week these leaders will get the opportunity to shadow a Sugar Creek counselor, leading a variety of activities such as: a Bible study, devotions, games, and team building.

(SIT-LITs go home on the weekends.)
