High School Programs

Pedal & Paddle: Entering Grades 8-10 

Would you like to try an exciting
outdoor adventure? Do you like
biking, canoeing, camping and
more? Then this “do it all” trip is for

You’ll bike the scenic Elroy-
Sparta Bike Trail, canoe on the
breathtakingly beautiful Kickapoo
River, and camp out with your
friends along the way. Your travel
adventures will also include fun
camp activities such as games,
campfires, Bible study, team
building and more! Come with
your youth group, a friend, or by
yourself and make friends along
the way!

This program is also great for
Confirmation groups who want to
bond in a new way. If the weeks
offered on the schedule don’t work
for your Confirmation group, please
call. We can possibly find another
week—or a custom program—for your group.

We provide all the equipment
and staff. Campers are asked to

Elevated: Entering Grades 9-12

Strap up your boots and hammocks
for this epic camp adventure! Journey
to special campsites each day. You’ll
visit remote and serene corners of
camp, pausing for devotions, Bible
studies, worships, and fun along the
way. Aside from all the new places
campers will discover deep in our
660 acres, returners will find familiar
places as well like the pool, challenge
course, and Art Barn! Campers will
sleep at multiple campsites in their
hammocks throughout the week!

Riverboaters:  Entering Grades 9-12

Join friends (new and old) on a
memory-making journey on the
Mississippi River!

You can explore the dunes, swim,
slide, boat, laugh, and play in the
beauty of God’s amazing creation!
Enjoy campfires by the water and
Bible study on the sandbars as well
as intentional community-building

Each boat group sleeps up to 10
campers and 2 counselors. This is a
fantastic experience for high school
youth and youth groups!

Junior Wranglers: Entering Grades 9-12

“Saddle up” for a week of hands-on
experience with the camp
wranglers and team driver! Help
with the horse program at Sugar
Creek, assist on trail rides, and learn
about tack care, horsemanship,
safety strategies, and general horse

A maximum of four people per
session ensures that you will get a
lot of time in the saddle as well as
working directly with and around
all the horses at camp. A great
“resume builder” for our future
summer camp Wranglers!

Voyageurs: 9-12  

Follow the route of great
explorers as you paddle down the
mighty Mississippi in one of our
26ft. Voyaguer canoes! On the
journey you will camp along the
river, cook your food over open
fires, enjoy campfires, have cool life
and faith talks, and bond with your
fellow Voyageurs.

Well-trained counselors will guide
you on your journey.

Our voyageur canoes and trained
staff are also available for your
custom church youth group trips
on other weeks.

Staff in Training – Leaders in Training: Entering Grades 11-12

Have you ever wondered what
it would be like to work at Sugar
Creek? This three-week program is
focused on equipping disciples for
leadership in your home community
and beyond! As a SIT-LIT you enjoy
your first week at camp learning
the basics of being a Sugar Creek
staff member, leading teambuilding
games, worship leading,
activity planning for younger kids,
and much more.

Then when you are
ready, put your skills in action by
shadowing a Sugar Creek counselor
and leading a variety of activities
for younger campers throughout
the week.

The third week of the program
gives SIT-LITs the opportunity to
reflect upon their week of cocounseling, receive additional
training and take on the role of a
support staff member
