Family Camp 2017
Join us at Sugar Creek for our traditional family camp program! At Sugar Creek, we welcome all ages and family make-ups; though, most activities are geared toward elementary aged youth and older. Our program is designed as intentional, fun, faith-forming, FAMILY TIME! Our dynamic staff will lead all the fun camp activities as well as host your family.
A dynamic guest speaker will lead the adult morning faith formation time and assist with the evening worship. Our flexible schedule allows you to jump in and out of activities as your family so chooses. For 2017, we will again offer two sessions. The first session will be Sunday-Wednesday, July 2-5, and the second session will be Sunday-Wednesday, August 13-16. These camps fill quickly so register soon! The registration form will be posted the first week of January. Housing assignments are made based on need, availability, and order of registration

- Horseback Riding – 8 and older for trail rides; 7 and under for pony rides.

Sample Family Camp Schedule
5-7 pm Arrivals
Optional Hotdog Supper from 5:30-6:30
8pm Opening Campfire & Introductions
Followed by snacks and evening social time
Monday & Tuesday
Separate Bible Study Time for Youth & Adults
Free Time-choose from a variety of activites such as: swimming,
horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, crafts, & relaxing of course!
Lunch-Departures follow lunch
The cost of family camp is based per person of each member of a nuclear family. There is a maximum cost for each nuclear family. The cost is determined by the lodging style and includes all lodging, meals, snacks & activities. There are additional charges for crafts or for canteen items (T-shirts and such.)
Camping on Own
$120 per person $500 Max/Family
You are welcome to bring your own tent or camper. We have a limited number of electrical hookups.
Platform Tent or Covered Wagon
$120 per person $500 Max/Family
The platform tents are a large canvas tent with a wood floor and 8 beds. Each covered wagon has 4 bunks (8 beds). Both sites have a nearby outhouse or you can walk to a showerhouse.
Seeker or Frontier Town Cabin
$130 per person $550 Max/Family
Each cabin has five bunk beds. There is a short walk to the bathhouse and an outhouse in Frontier Town. Air conditioning units are available in these cabins.
Retreat Center, Koinonia Lodge, Manna Center Bedrooms*
$140 per person $600 Max/Family
Most rooms in both of these buildings have a bathroom and shower located right in the room. For the rooms that don’t, a short walk down the stairs brings you to the bathrooms. Each log cabin has a bathroom and shower in the cabin. The Log Cabins, Koinonia, Retreat Center, and Manna Center bedrooms all fill up fast, so register soon! * A number of these facilities will be reserved for families with special needs, elderly members, etc.

Your own private log cabin with a covered deck attached. These cabins have their own personal bathroom and shower with beds on two levels and a living room. These cabins fill up fast, so register soon!
August 17-19, 2017
Bring your grandchildren to camp and join us for this popular program that features activities designed to strengthen this cross-generational relationship. Share special times together swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, making crafts, in Bible study, enjoying campfires, and much more! Program starts Monday morning and ends Wednesday afternoon. Bring one or more of your grandchildren! COST: $130 per person. Ages 8 years old to Adult.
Parent/Child Horse Camp
July 5-7, 2017
Do you have a horse-crazy son or daughter who would love some one-on-one time with you horseback riding in the great outdoors? Then let’s saddle up and hit the trail! You will go on 3-4 trail rides, enjoy campfires and Bible time, swimming, games, and wonderful bonding time together. Group size is limited to allow plenty of horse time! Sign up soon, as this program fills fast! Cost: $130 per person. Ages 8 years old to Adult.
To register for any of these events complete a registration form and mail it to Sugar Creek with at least a $100 deposit.
