Please consider a donation to the ministry of Sugar Creek Bible Camp. During this time of mandated COVID-19 closures and cancellations, Sugar Creek Bible Camp is grateful for the support of people like you to keep the ministry solvent and its programs affordable to all. Donations are tax-deductible per federal tax law.
Recently Sugar Creek’s Board of Directors met to determine our course of action regarding summer camp 2020. At this point, the decision has been made to suspend the first four weeks of summer camp due to COVID 19 precautions and, likely, additional state-mandated closures and regulations. Our first week of camp will now be July 12-16.
If you are currently registered for a camp program held during one of these postponed sessions of camp, we can work with you to find another week for you to join us during one of the remaining four sessions: July 12, July 19, July 26 or Aug 2. After a spring filled with cancellations and isolation, your children, now more than ever, would benefit from a Bible Camp experience in God’s beautiful creation!
To allow extra time for the summer staff to thoroughly clean and sanitize, and our camper lodging facilities to rest the full, recommended 72 hours between groups, we will shorten our week-long programs to five days, ending each week on Thursday with a 1pm closing program. We will also offer Pilgrims camp Sunday-Tuesday only during two of the remaining sessions.
We know that there is still uncertainty regarding the pandemic and closures, so there is always the chance that we will not be allowed to hold summer camp at all. In such case, we would work with all our families and churches regarding payments made.
In the meantime, we are extending our cancellation/payment due deadline from June 1 to July 2. This extension allows families, churches, and us much more time to see how things develop globally, nationally, and locally before decisions must be made.
What follows is a revised 2020 Summer Schedule. Please discuss the new schedule as a family and then contact our registrar: with your new session choices and any questions you might have. Please take the time you need to make your decision. Emails will be answered in the order received.
We are making many, thorough, and creative adaptations to our activities and facilities to exceed the new safety standards. For over 50 years, Sugar Creek Bible Camp, with its decentralized, small group villages and 600+ acres to roam and enjoy, has been uniquely equipped for naturally more distant, small group ministry.
We look forward to serving you, in the name of Jesus, this year and in the years to come!
